Sally Lunn, the original Bath Bun and the oldest house in Bath
Sally Lunn’s is a Historic Eating House and Tea Room set in the oldest house in Bath. It is famous for serving the Sally Lunn Bun, a delicacy originally brought to Bath in 1680 by the Huguenot refugee Solange Luyon (later anglicised to Sally Lunn) and still made to her original recipe.
Today we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all based around Sally’s wonderful Buns and featuring local and regional specialities and recipes.
This world famous Bath cafe, bakery, and restaurant is a love letter to a remarkable building, a fascinating history and wonderful bread. Original features from Sally’s time and earlier sit alongside works from contemporary artisans, ensuring Sally’s old bakery remains part of Bath’s living history.
We are open every day from 10:00 until 21:00 and would love to share this unique experience with you.
